Year 2 Class Teacher Contract Type: Full-time Temporary Start Date: 01/06/2026 Location: Barnet, North London Salary: £180 – £250 per day Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary of £250 per day is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience. About the Role Teach Now is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Barnet for an experienced Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team for the final summer term. This full-time position will run from June until the end of the academic year. You will take full responsibility for a Year 2 class, delivering engaging lessons and ensuring pupils continue to make strong progress during this important stage of their learning. The school has a supportive staff team and a positive learning environment where pupils are motivated, behaviour is strong, and teaching is highly valued. This role would suit an experienced KS1 teacher who can confidently step into an established classroom and quickly build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents. Requirements To be considered for this role, applicants must have: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Recent UK primary teaching experience • Experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2 • Strong behaviour management skills • The ability to take full classroom responsibility and maintain high standards of learning • Please note: due to the short-term nature of the role, the school is unable to support an ECT for this position.
