Primary 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Southwark - £95-£115 per day We are currently recruiting for a resilient and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with very severe SEN and behavioural needs in a welcoming Primary school in Southwark. This is a highly rewarding but demanding role, ideal for someone confident managing complex needs and significant behavioural challenges within a structured school environment. The Role: Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with severe SEN and behavioural needs Implementing personalised support strategies and structured routines Managing and de-escalating high-level challenging behaviour Supporting emotional regulation, communication and social development Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals Maintaining a safe, consistent and supportive learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Proven experience supporting children with severe SEN Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills Experience with ASD, SEMH, or other complex needs A calm, patient and resilient approach Confidence working 1:1 within a Primary school setting An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one) This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference in a child's educational journey within a supportive and well-structured Primary school.
