I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for an experienced Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced operational support team within the construction sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised, proactive individual who enjoys working in a varied role supporting both office and site-based teams across multiple projects.

📌 The Role

You will provide comprehensive administrative support to operational teams and site staff, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of business processes. The role is varied and will involve a mix of general administration, coordination, and project support within a construction environment.

🧾 Key Responsibilities

* Maintain and update internal administration systems, ensuring accuracy and relevance

* Support filing, archiving, scanning, and document control processes

* Collate and input data for KPI reporting and performance tracking

* Assist with Health & Safety administration, including equipment ordering and record keeping

* Support HR processes such as onboarding, inductions, and new starter administration

* Coordinate and monitor staff training in collaboration with internal departments

* Order plant, materials, and supplies for site operations

* Assist with project compliance and administrative preparation tasks

* Attend meetings when required and accurately record minutes and actions

* Ensure all reports, forms, and documentation are completed accurately and returned on time

* Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders

* Provide general administrative support to the wider operational team as required

📍 Key Relationships

You will work closely with:

* Internal operational and site teams

* Subcontractors and suppliers

* Clients, consultants, and design teams

* Wider business support and group functions

🎯 About You

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

* Previous experience in an administrative role (construction, site, or operational environments desirable)

* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

* Confident use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines

* A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

* A professional attitude with a commitment to high standards of work
