Assembler - Braintree, Essex - Day shift - 38 hours per week - Temp to Perm We are currently recruiting for an assembler to join a well-established manufacturing company in Braintree. This is a day-shift role offering long-term stability, on-the-job training eligibility for a company bonus scheme. Due to the location, candidates have their own transport. This role would suit someone who enjoys hands-on, detailed work within a brand new, modern facility. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing and assembly of components to written work instructions Following basic wiring diagrams and inspection procedures Use of hand tools including side cutters, spanners, Allen keys and measuring equipment Measuring, cutting, stripping and soldering coloured cable Handling and assembling small, detailed components Masking and sandblasting components Ultrasonic cleaning and preparation of moulds and components Using vacuum systems to fill moulds with resin Detailed inspection work including checking for air bubbles, marks, inclusions, cracks, dents and scratches Writing concessions and marking up works orders where required Occasionally moving finished items (up to 10kg) down a stairwellThe Ideal Candidate Have their own transport Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely Confident using hand tools and carrying out repetitive, detailed tasks Flexible approach with the ability to multitask Good understanding of health & safety proceduresWhat's On Offer Eligibility for annual bonus scheme (typically ~10% of annual salary, paid towards year-end)* Day shift - 38 hours per week Full training provided Long-term, stable employment Clean, controlled manufacturing environment*Bonus is discretionary and not guaranteed, though it has been paid annually for decades.
