Assistant Finance Manager – Newquay, Cornwall – 3–4 Months (Temporary) 💰 Hourly rate: To be discussed (via Carrington Wood) 📍 Location: Newquay, Cornwall 🕒 Hours: 37 per week (flexible and open to considering someone who can offer slightly less hours per week) 📅 Start: ASAP Are you an experienced finance professional who can balance hands-on delivery with process improvement and team development? Carrington Wood is supporting a valued client during a key period of growth and operational demand. They are seeking an Interim Assistant Finance Manager to provide essential support, improve processes, and play a key role across projects and day-to-day finance. What You’ll Be Doing ✔ Supporting cashflow forecasting, investment reviews and financial reporting ✔ Leading process reviews (including IR35, procurement and banking/BACS) ✔ Assisting with system migration work ✔ Completing month-end, VAT returns and reconciliations ✔ Overseeing timesheets, payroll processes and daily task management ✔ Supporting budgets, audits, grants and statutory returns ✔ Providing financial guidance and deputising when needed What We’re Looking For 💡 AAT Level 3 or higher (or equivalent experience) 💡 Proven experience in a busy finance function 💡 Strong understanding of financial processes, procurement, payroll and controls 💡 Excellent IT ability, particularly Excel and financial systems 💡 Clear communicator with strong organisational skills Why You’ll Love This Role ✅ Meaningful work supporting a busy and growing organisation ✅ Opportunity to shape and improve financial processes ✅ Blend of project work and hands-on finance ✅ Supportive leadership and collaborative team culture ✅ Flexibility around working hours 📅 Apply now for a confidential conversation about this Interim Assistant Finance Manager opportunity.
