Business Development Manager – Republic of Ireland

Purpose of the role:
To drive profitable growth across Assured Ireland by identifying new business opportunities, developing senior client relationships, and securing long-term contracts across private and public sector markets.

The role focuses on facilities services within Aviation, Corporate Real Estate, Retail and Automotive.

Reporting to: UK & Ireland Group Commercial Director

Responsible for:
Business development activity across assigned regions and sectors, with line management of junior commercial staff where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

Market development & new business

Identify and secure new opportunities aligned to Assured Ireland’s strategic growth plans.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline across target sectors.
Position Assured Ireland as a strategic service partner rather than a transactional labour provider.
Client engagement

Develop strong relationships with senior client stakeholders across operations, procurement and commercial functions.
Understand client challenges (throughput, quality, compliance, labour availability and cost) and translate these into commercial solutions.
Commercial leadership

Lead pricing, tenders, proposals and contract negotiations.
Develop sustainable commercial models covering labour, equipment, compliance, mobilisation and risk.
Ensure all contracts deliver acceptable margin, scalability and risk protection.
Account growth & cross-selling

Grow existing accounts by promoting wider Assured Ireland capabilities, including workforce solutions, consumables, facilities management and technology.
Identify upsell and contract expansion opportunities within live accounts.
Operational alignment

Work closely with Operations and Mobilisation teams to ensure solutions sold are deliverable and profitable.
Support contract mobilisation and early-life performance where required.
Market intelligence & reporting

Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting and forecasts.
Provide regular commercial updates to the UK & Ireland Group Commercial Director.
Proposals & presentations

Produce high-quality proposals, tender submissions and client presentations.
Translate operational delivery models into clear, board-level commercial documentation.
Skills & Experience

Proven business development experience within automotive, outsourcing or facilities management
Strong commercial, negotiation and tender management expertise
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
Strategic, results-driven mindset
Strong IT capability (CRM, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Understanding of contract management and SLAs
Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe as required
