Multi-Skilled Technician (Carpentry Bias) Permanent Position | £350 per day equivalent Monday–Friday | 8:00am–5:00pm Commercial Projects Across London Are you a highly skilled carpenter looking for a permanent, well-paid day role delivering high-quality works across commercial buildings in London? We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Technician with a strong carpentry bias to carry out a wide range of minor works and building fabric projects to an exceptional standard. This role is ideal for a craftsman who takes pride in precision, finish and professionalism, while also being confident supporting across other trades when required. The Role This is a mobile, client-facing position delivering planned and reactive minor works across commercial office environments and other high-end commercial properties. Carpentry will form the core of your workload, with opportunities to assist across general building trades where needed. Key Responsibilities Carpentry & Joinery (Primary Focus) You will carry out both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry works including: 1st Fix: Stud wall construction and alterations Door frame installation Structural timber work Partition modifications Timber framework for commercial fit-outs 2nd Fix: Hanging, easing and adjusting doors Installing and repairing ironmongery (locks, closers, hinges) Skirting, architraves and trims Bespoke joinery adjustments Fitting kitchens, storage units and IPS panels Installation of shelving and commercial fixtures Final finishing works to a high decorative standard You will be expected to deliver clean, precise finishes suitable for premium commercial environments. Minor Works & Multi-Trade Support While carpentry is the core focus, you may also assist with: Basic plumbing adjustments (taps, waste fittings, minor pipework) Minor plaster patching and making good Flooring repairs and threshold adjustments Ceiling tile replacements General fabric maintenance tasks Supporting other trades on small project works What We’re Looking For Strong, proven carpentry background (commercial experience preferred) Confident in both 1st and 2nd fix works High attention to detail and pride in workmanship Ability to work independently and manage multiple small jobs Professional and presentable – client-facing role Good understanding of health & safety in commercial environments Full UK driving licence preferred This role suits someone who sees themselves as a craftsman first, but is comfortable being flexible and supporting wider building works when required.
