Are you an experienced Conveyancing Assistant looking to join a highly regarded law firm where you can develop your skills and, if you wish, progress towards a fee-earning career?

I am currently working with a well-established and respected law firm in the Middlesbrough / Teesside area that is looking to strengthen its residential conveyancing team with the appointment of a Conveyancing Assistant.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working within conveyancing and wants to develop their career within a supportive, professional and collaborative environment.

The Role

Working alongside experienced fee earners, you will provide support across a range of residential conveyancing matters, assisting with the progression of transactions from instruction through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting fee earners with the day-to-day management of residential property transactions
Assisting with sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers
Preparing and reviewing conveyancing documentation
Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other third parties
Requesting and reviewing searches and other relevant documentation
Dealing with enquiries and assisting with the progression of transactions
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case management records
Providing a high level of client service throughout the conveyancing process
A Genuine Opportunity to Progress

One of the key attractions of this opportunity is the firm's approach to career development.

If your long-term ambition is to progress from a Conveyancing Assistant into a fee-earning role, the firm is keen to support you in doing so.

Importantly, there is no expectation that you need to rush your development. The firm recognises that everyone develops at a different pace and will support you in building your technical knowledge, confidence and experience before taking on greater responsibility.

Whether your ambition is to eventually manage your own caseload or you simply want to become an increasingly experienced Conveyancing Assistant, your development will be supported.

About You

The successful candidate is likely to have:

Previous experience within a residential conveyancing environment
A good understanding of the conveyancing process
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Excellent attention to detail
Good communication and client care skills
The ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within property law
The firm is open to candidates at different stages of their development, provided you have relevant conveyancing experience and the right attitude.

What's on Offer?

Competitive salary, dependent on experience from £24k- £27k
Extended Christmas and New Year leave, providing additional time off over the festive period
Team performance bonus scheme, rewarding the success and achievements of the wider team
Genuine long-term career development opportunities
Support and training from experienced fee earners
The opportunity to progress into a fee-earning role if that's something you want to pursue
Development at a sensible and sustainable pace, with no pressure to progress before you're ready
A supportive and collaborative working environment
The opportunity to join a highly regarded law firm in the Middlesbrough / Teesside area
If you're an experienced Conveyancing Assistant looking for a firm that will invest in your development without expecting you to rush the next step, this could be an excellent opportunity.
