Tennial Personnel are recruiting Forklift Truck Drivers to join a well-established pet food manufacturing company based in Hadleigh, Suffolk. This is a temporary-to-permanent role, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful 12-week probation period.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business where you will play a key role in supporting warehouse operations, ensuring materials and finished goods are moved safely and efficiently throughout the site. The successful candidate will be safety-conscious, reliable, and confident operating a forklift truck within a fast-paced production environment.

Please Note: This role involves working within a pet food manufacturing environment, which can be a dusty environment at times due to the nature of the products and production processes. Candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 3:00PM – 11:00PM

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a forklift truck safely and efficiently to move raw materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production areas
Load and unload deliveries in line with company procedures
Transport stock to production lines and designated storage locations
Carry out stock movements and ensure accurate storage of products
Assist with goods in and goods out operations
Conduct routine pre-use forklift checks and report any defects promptly
Support general warehouse duties, including manual handling where required
Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Work collaboratively with warehouse and production teams to meet operational targets

Skills Required

Confident and competent operating a forklift truck in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Good awareness of health and safety procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and flexible
Physically capable of carrying out manual handling duties when required
Comfortable working within a dusty manufacturing environment

Qualifications Required
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence (essential)
Previous experience operating a forklift truck within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Good communication skills and a positive work ethic
Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity
