Our client is a market leading manufacturing company due to a sustained period of growth they are now looking to recruit a Development Technician.
The Role
* Lamination of exterior films using hot-melt adhesives and primers.
* Carrying out various material testing.
* Evaluating and analysing pigments and developing pigment formulations.
* Assisting with New Product Development and trials.
* Using accelerated weathering cabinets to test samples in simulated conditions.
* Will work on site 35.5 hours per week. Monday to Thursday: 9am - 5pm, Friday: 9am - 3pm.
The Person
* Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or Polymer Science (essential).
* Knowledge of Colour Chemistry/Pigment Technology (desirable).
* Experience of working in a laboratory environment (desirable).
* Must have a full UK Driving Licence, be able to drive and have access to a car (essential).
* A clear communicator and self-motivated.
