Electrical Shift Lead

Job Title: Electrical Shift Lead Location: City of London Salary: £50,000 per annum Shift Pattern: Continental Shift Pattern – Days Only (7:00am–7:00pm) Holiday: 20 shifts annual leave Overview: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Shift Lead to join a high-profile commercial building in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated electrical professional looking to step into a leadership role within a well-established engineering team, working a stable days-only continental shift pattern. You will be responsible for leading the on-shift engineering team, ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and reliability of all electrical systems within a critical commercial environment. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and supervise the on-shift engineering team to ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems * Ensure all plant and equipment operate efficiently and in line with site requirements * Act as the first point of contact for technical issues during your shift * Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and company procedures * Manage and coordinate subcontractors where required * Complete accurate reporting and maintain maintenance records * Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site Requirements: * Fully qualified electrician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) * Experience working in a commercial building services environment * Previous supervisory or lead engineer experience preferred * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities * Good knowledge of electrical systems, plant equipment, and building services * Excellent communication and leadership skills Package & Benefits: * Salary: £50,000 per annum * Continental Shift Pattern – Days Only (7am–7pm) * 20 shift days annual leave * Company pension scheme * Life insurance * Vitality private health insurance including dental, optical, and audio cover * 0% staff loan scheme * Ongoing training and career progression opportunities Apply Now: If you are an experienced electrical engineer looking to progress into a leadership role within a well-supported environment, we would love to hear from you.
