This is a really exciting opportunity to join a business that is making huge moves in the market. As Finance Team Leader, you’ll take ownership of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions across the group. You’ll lead and support a small team while remaining hands-on in a high-visibility role, giving you the opportunity to really add value and shape processes as the business continues to scale.
This role is perfect for someone either already in a supervisory position or an experienced transactional finance professional ready to step up into leadership.
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000
Location: Rochdale | Hybrid working + Flexible Hours
Main Duties:
• Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, subcontractor payments, and customer invoicing
• Take ownership of credit control, managing debtor balances and driving cash collection
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers, resolving queries efficiently
• Work closely with operational and commercial teams to resolve billing disputes
• Monitor ageing reports and support improvements in working capital
• Ensure compliance with VAT and CIS requirements where applicable
• Support the integration of newly acquired businesses into group processes
• Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and control
• Act as a senior point of contact within the team, supporting and guiding junior members
Person Specification:
• Strong experience within Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Credit Control
• Strong systems skills and experience with finance/ERP systems
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ambitious, driven, and keen to develop into (or further within) a leadership/managerial role
• Proactive mindset – someone who’s happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in
