Finance Team Leader
As Finance Team Leader, you’ll take ownership of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions across the group. You’ll lead and support a small team while remaining hands-on in a high-visibility role, giving you the opportunity to really add value and shape processes as the business continues to scale.
This role is perfect for someone either already in a supervisory position or an experienced transactional finance professional ready to step up into leadership.
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000
Location: Rochdale | Hybrid working + Flexible Hours
Main Duties:
• Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, subcontractor payments, and customer invoicing
• Take ownership of credit control, managing debtor balances and driving cash collection
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers, resolving queries efficiently
• Work closely with operational and commercial teams to resolve billing disputes
• Monitor ageing reports and support improvements in working capital
• Ensure compliance with VAT and CIS requirements where applicable
• Support the integration of newly acquired businesses into group processes
• Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and control
• Act as a senior point of contact within the team, supporting and guiding junior members
Person Specification:
• Strong experience within Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Credit Control
• Strong systems skills and experience with finance/ERP systems
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ambitious, driven, and keen to develop into (or further within) a leadership/managerial role
• Proactive mindset – someone who’s happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in
