Responsibilities: Deliver effective, high-quality Geography lessons from Year 7 to Year 13, ensuring that the study of physical and human environments meets the needs of all students. Monitor and assess student progress, using data to provide constructive feedback and ensure high levels of academic achievement across GCSE and A-Level cohorts. Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral support and maintaining positive professional relationships with students, parents, and carers. Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative resources and field-study curriculum plans, including the creative use of ICT and Interactive Whiteboards. Foster an inclusive environment, managing your classroom effectively to ensure safety, motivation, and high standards of behaviour. Requirements: Hold a QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree in Geography or a related field. Successful teaching experience at secondary level (teaching practice included), ideally in a multi-ethnic urban 11-18 setting. Strong knowledge of National Curriculum requirements, including GCSE and A-Level specifications, lesson planning, and assessment. Excellent communication, time management, and ICT skills, with a commitment to continuous professional growth.
