Head of HR
As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring we attract, develop and retain exceptional people while fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
About the Role
This is a strategic yet highly practical role within a business of around 70–80 full-time employees. You will be responsible for setting direction while also being actively involved in day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the overall people strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals
* Advise and support the Leadership Team on all HR and people-related matters
* Take ownership of recruitment strategy and delivery across the business
* Manage and maintain the company organisational structure and org chart
* Develop, implement and oversee all HR policies and procedures
* Ensure full compliance with employment law and HR best practice
* Drive team member wellbeing, engagement and performance initiatives
* Support and guide managers on employee relations matters
* Assist with payroll processes (desirable but not essential)
About You
* Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role
* Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
* Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on in a smaller business environment
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Passionate about people, culture and organisational development
* CIPD qualification (desirable)
