Head of Sales

Location: West Yorkshire - Office Based with Flexibility

Offering £60,000 - £70,000 Basic Salary plus Benefits

Our client is an established manufacturer based in West Yorkshire. Due to continued growth, they are currently recruiting a Head of Sales to join their senior leadership team. This newly created role will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a high performance sales team across two business streams. The Head of Sales will work in close partnership with Marketing to drive aligned campaigns, intelligent lead flow, and shared revenue outcomes.

Head of Sales - Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Coaching

* Create clear focus on revenue and activity targets across both business streams.

* Set KPIs for individuals and teams and use data to guide performance.

* Lead, support, and coach the sales team to achieve targets and personal development goals.

* Provide structured, consistent coaching at all stages of the customer journey using established playbooks and sales methodologies. Identifying weaknesses or inconsistencies in execution and address them directly.

* Conduct monthly one-to-ones, weekly pipeline reviews, and performance check-ins.

* Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and positive morale.

* Clearly communicate activity targets and financial expectations expected of internal and external field-based sales team, ensuring that each team member is proactively contributing to the new business pipeline.

* Train and enforce best practice for all sales personnel to regularly update HubSpot CRM following conversations and meetings with clients to allow for real time visibility of sales pipeline and performance.

Strategy & Delivery

* Own sales strategy and ensure its consistent execution across both business streams.

* Analyse data, identify trends, potential risks and provide actionable recommendations.

* Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports to senior leadership.

* Drive disciplined use of the sales playbooks, ensuring each field sales professional follows clearly defined stages, messaging, and actions. CRM is key!

* Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase conversion rates.

* Own all forecasting, sales reporting and pipeline projections across both business streams, ensuring accurate, timely and consistent data.

* Ensure a balanced approach to lead generation, whilst utilising marketing leads, placing clear focus on outbound prospecting to build a strong, self-sufficient pipeline.

* Working in collaboration with Marketing to both align campaigns, messaging and funnel stages, whilst providing feedback to marketing on lead quality, customer insights, and market trends. Track campaign performance and collaborate with Marketing funnel analysis and attribution.

* Maintain and optimise HubSpot dashboards for pipeline health, lead flow, conversion rates, sales team activity metrics, forecast accuracy and revenue performance segment.

Head of Sales - Skills & Experience

* Experienced Sales Manager and Leader of a field-based sales teams, able to motivate and elevate team performance.

* Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship building skills.

* A natural coach with a proven experience of developing sales personnel, through coaching, motivating, and effective sales processes.

* Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret reports and apply insight.

* Understanding the benefits of working closely with marketing teams on aligned revenue initiatives, to improve sales focus, pipeline and customer experience.

* Highly disciplined and process-driven, calm under pressure and solution focused.

The Head of Sales position is offering £60,000 – £70,000 basic salary plus benefits for the successful candidate. This is a full-time, permanent position, based at our client’s office in West Yorkshire with the flexibility to travel to attend customer visits and support field-based sales team.
