HGV 2 driver

Market 36 Recruitment are delighted to be supporting the local Council in recruiting an HGV 2 Driver based in Colchester. This role involves driving refuse collection vehicles and supporting waste collection services across the local area. Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 07:00 – 15:00 Friday 07:00 – 14:30 Role Accountabilities: * Driving HGV 2 bin lorries (refuse collection vehicles) in line with scheduled routes * Ensuring safe and responsible operation of the vehicle at all times * Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects * Working alongside loaders to complete waste collection routes efficiently * Adhering to all road traffic legislation and health & safety regulations * Providing a professional and courteous service to members of the public * Assisting with loading duties where required The Experience You Will Bring: * Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence * Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card * Previous experience driving large vehicles, ideally refuse collection vehicles * Good knowledge of road safety and driving regulations * Ability to work effectively as part of a team * Reliable, punctual and safety conscious * Good communication skills Market 36 Recruitment Ltd cover a range of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Engineering, HR & Finance & ITAD.
