1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant - KS1 - Glossop Full-Time | Short-Term Role | Immediate Start Available Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within a KS1 class at a welcoming Primary School in the Glossop area. This is a full-time, short-term role running until the May 2026 half term. The successful candidate will work closely with a child on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum, develop confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment. The Role: Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND within a KS1 classroom Supporting the child's learning, emotional wellbeing, and social development Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies Assisting with adapted learning activities and classroom engagement Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential) Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally within a primary school setting Patient, empathetic and nurturing approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by providing dedicated support to a child who will benefit from additional guidance and encouragement.
