M&E Quality Inspector (w/m/d)
Responsibilities:
Conduct visual inspections of mechanical outfitting and electrical systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and offshore industry standards.
Inspect HVAC systems, lighting, cable trays, instrumentation, fire detection systems, piping, drainage systems, and structural outfitting.
Verify that all M&E outfitting activities comply with applicable regulations, codes, and offshore safety standards.
Inspect materials used for mechanical and electrical outfitting, including cables, conduits, fasteners, and structural materials.
Review and verify material certificates and traceability documentation for critical components.
Witness and participate in mechanical and electrical testing, including insulation resistance, continuity, load, operational, and functional tests.
Validate performance of HVAC, lighting, safety equipment, control systems, and associated M&E installations.
Inspect supports, platforms, access systems, and safety outfitting to ensure structural integrity and safe design..
Identify, investigate, and report non-conformances; support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Review manufacturing records, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and fabrication drawings.
Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance reliability, safety, and functionality of M&E outfitting systems.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience in mechanical outfitting of offshore substations (e.g. HVAC, oil/water separators, drainage and piping systems).
Extensive experience in electrical installation and outfitting of low- and high-voltage systems on offshore substations.
Proven practical experience in a similar QA/QC or inspection role within an offshore fabrication or EPC yard environment.
Ability to review and interpret manufacturing records, quality documentation, and fabrication drawings.
Strong understanding of offshore manufacturing and fabrication standards, including ISO, EN, DNV, and relevant IEC standards
