Mechanical Estimator Location: Bristol Sector: M&E Contractor – Residential / Student Accommodation / Hotels Salary: Competitive + Package The Opportunity An excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Estimator to join a well-established M&E contractor specialising in large-scale residential, student accommodation and hotel developments. You’ll be part of a highly successful pre-construction team, responsible for preparing competitive tenders and cost plans on technically complex building services projects. This role offers strong long-term career prospects within a respected contractor delivering major projects nationwide. Role Overview You will be responsible for: * Producing detailed mechanical tender bids and cost plans. * Managing the tender process to meet deadlines and quality standards. * Attending mid-tender and post-tender meetings. * Managing post-tender commercial control and negotiation. * Liaising with clients, consultants and project stakeholders. * Issuing enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers. * Reviewing and analysing supply chain returns. * Working closely with electrical and wider M&E estimating teams. * Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. About You * Experience as a Mechanical Estimator within building services. * Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services systems. * Good understanding of electrical services coordination. * Experience working on residential, hotel or student accommodation projects preferred. * Commercially aware with strong analytical skills. * Experience using estimating software (Trimble preferred). * Strong communication and organisational skills.
