Protocol Education are working closely with a well-regarded BS1 secondary school to appoint a French Teacher from 1st May until the end of Term 6.  This is a great opportunity for a passionate languages teacher to join a supportive department and teach French across KS3–KS5. The role is full-time during Term 5, before reducing to 4.5 days per week in Term 6 once exam classes have finished. The school has a strong focus on academic ambition, inclusivity and student development, with languages playing an important role in helping pupils develop communication skills and global awareness.  After this placement ends, Protocol Education can offer you placements with our other partner schools. Our team of consultants will work to help you step immediately into another MFL role. Planning and marking will be required for most classes, with the exception of Year 11 and Year 13 exam groups. Your responsibilities will include: Teaching French across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 Planning engaging lessons and marking pupil work Supporting students in developing strong language and communication skills Differentiating teaching to support a range of learners Monitoring progress and supporting pupil development Timetable & Working Pattern Tutor registration each morning from 8:30–9:00 Reduced timetable on Fridays, finishing at 14:25 Full-time during Term 5, reducing to 4.5 days per week after May half-term What the School Is Looking For The school would love to hear from teachers who are: ✔️ Confident teaching French from KS3–KS5 ✔️ Organised and comfortable managing planning and marking responsibilities ✔️ Passionate about language learning and cultural education ✔️ Able to build positive relationships with secondary-aged pupils ✔️ Professional, adaptable and enthusiastic in the classroom What We Need to Clear You To get you ready to work: Passport Two proofs of address CV covering the last 10 years of work & education Two years of references Overseas police check if applicable All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
