Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer 📍 London & South East 💰 £45,000 – £55,000 + Van + Overtime + Call Out A well-established building services and maintenance contractor is looking to recruit two Mobile Commercial Gas Engineers to join their growing maintenance team. This is a mobile role covering London and the South East, working across a range of commercial sites delivering planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and servicing of commercial heating systems. The Role You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial gas and heating systems, ensuring plant operates safely, efficiently and in line with compliance standards. Typical duties will include: • Planned preventative maintenance on commercial heating systems • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to boilers and associated plant • Servicing commercial gas equipment and plant room systems • Responding to reactive breakdowns across multiple sites • Completing service reports and maintaining accurate maintenance records • Ensuring works are completed in line with health & safety regulations • Maintaining strong relationships with clients and site teams Working Hours Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00 On-call rota: 1 in 6 weeks • £150 standby payment • Door-to-door pay if called out Salary & Package • £45,000 – £55,000 depending on experience • Company van • Fuel card • Uniform • Mobile phone • Parking / expenses card • Overtime opportunities • Long-term career progression What We’re Looking For The successful candidate will be an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer with strong fault-finding skills and experience working across commercial environments. Essential qualifications: • NVQ Level 3 or recognised apprenticeship in Gas / Mechanical Engineering Services • Valid commercial gas certifications including: COCN1 CODNCO1 ICPN1 CDGA1 CIGA1 CORT1 ICAE1 / LS TPCP1 / TPCP1A BPM1 (Boosters) COMCAT 1 & 3 You should also have: • Experience fault finding and maintaining commercial heating systems • Strong knowledge of health & safety procedures • Ability to read drawings and technical specifications • Good communication skills • Full UK driving licence The Person You will be someone who: • Takes pride in delivering high quality engineering work • Is comfortable working independently across multiple sites • Has strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability • Builds good relationships with clients and colleagues If you’re a Commercial Gas Engineer looking for a stable mobile role with a reputable building services contractor covering London and the South East, we’d love to hear from you
