Package Quantity Surveyor - Main Contractor - Central London Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + package A well-established main contractor is seeking a Package Quantity Surveyor with experience of working across large scale residential builds. Extensive procurement experience is not essential but experience with managing the higher risk packages would be advantageous The company have a number of new schemes in the area and so can offer good consistency of location as well as strong progression opportunities. Role Overview - Title: Package Quantity Surveyor - Location: Central London - Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 - Start: ASAP but willing to wait for notice periods - Type: Permanent Responsibilities - Cost Planning & Commercial Management: Manage the financial performance of designated work packages, ensuring costs are controlled in line with budget allowances and reporting any risks or opportunities to the Commercial Manager. - Cost Control & Variations Management: Monitor and track variations, implement change control procedures, maintain accurate cost forecasts, and provide regular financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. - Valuations & Subcontractor Payments: Assess and certify subcontractor interim valuations, manage payment processes including retention, and ensure accurate financial administration in accordance with contractual obligations. - Final Accounts & Financial Close-Out: Negotiate and agree final accounts, resolve commercial issues or claims, and ensure all package costs are finalised accurately and efficiently at project completion.
