A well-established Pupil Referral Unit is seeking a dedicated PRU Teacher to join their supportive and dynamic team, working with KS3 and KS4 students.
About the Role – PRU Teacher
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours
* Support students who may be at risk of exclusion or disengaged from mainstream education
* Create a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment
* Use strong behaviour management strategies to de-escalate and manage challenging situations
* Work closely with support staff, external agencies, and parents/carers
* Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and re-engagement in education
About You – PRU Teacher
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
* Experience working with KS3 and KS4 students
* Strong behaviour management skills and confidence managing challenging behaviour
* Experience working with SEMH needs or in a PRU/alternative provision (desirable)
* Resilient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with young people
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
