As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for the transition through Key Stage 1, supporting them in developing confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (ECTs are encouraged to apply)
Have experience or a strong understanding of Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2
Be a reflective and effective classroom practitioner
Be able to inspire, motivate, and engage young learners
Demonstrate a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
Be supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environmentKey Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons for a Year 2 class
Support pupils in preparation for end of Key Stage 1 expectations
Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school community
Contribute to the positive ethos and wider life of the schoolWhat the School Offers
