QHSE Manager – Essex Location: Rayleigh, Essex Salary: £40k+ Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:30 The Opportunity We are working with a well-established UK manufacturer specialising in window and door systems, supplying into the construction and building products sector. They are now looking to appoint a QHSE Manager to take full ownership of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental systems across their Essex site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role with real autonomy, where you can shape processes, influence culture and make a visible impact across the business. The Role As QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining all QHSE systems within a busy manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and industry standards. Key responsibilities include: * Managing and maintaining the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) * Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation * Leading risk assessments, audits and investigations * Managing environmental systems (ISO 14001) * Supporting energy management initiatives (ISO 50001) * Driving a proactive safety and quality culture across production * Investigating non-conformances and implementing corrective actions * Delivering training and supporting site teams on QHSE matters About You We are keen to speak with candidates who have: * Proven experience in a QHSE / HSE / Quality role within manufacturing * Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation * Experience managing or supporting ISO systems (9001 essential, 14001/50001 desirable) * A hands-on, proactive approach with the confidence to influence at all levels * Experience working in environments such as fabrication, building products, plastics, or similar manufacturing settings would be advantageous Qualifications: * NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) essential * Environmental qualification (IEMA) desirable * IOSH membership advantageous Why Apply? * Opportunity to take full ownership of QHSE on site * Join a stable, growing manufacturing business within the construction supply chain * Work in a role where you can genuinely make a difference * Work-life balance with a Monday–Friday days-based role Apply Now If you’re a driven QHSE professional looking for a role where you can take ownership and make an impact, we’d love to hear from you
