Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Hammersmith & Fulham, London, UK
Start Date: 31/03/2026
Job Type: Full Time, Temporary
Salary: £50–£100 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 1:00pm (Monday to Friday)
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are reserved for candidates with substantial experience and/or relevant training such a recognised Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Pay is determined in line with school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a nursery-aged pupil with Autism in a welcoming and well-structured primary setting in Fulham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Level 3 qualified Early Years professional to make a meaningful impact in a supportive environment with strong SEN provision and excellent early years practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support to a nursery-aged pupil with Autism (ASD)
• Support the child’s learning, engagement, and overall development within the classroom
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement structured support strategies
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
• Encourage positive interaction and participation in daily activities
About the Pupil

• Nursery-aged boy
• Diagnosed with Autism
• No behavioural challenges
• No intimate care required
• Requires calm, consistent, and engaging support
Role Requirements

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
• Proven experience supporting children with Autism (ASD)
• Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach
• Reliable and committed to consistent working hours
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
