SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Southwark Pay Range: Competitive daily rate Contract Type: Full-Time (Temporary / Long-Term) We are recruiting an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils with additional needs, supporting their academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and independence. Please note: Previous SEN experience is essential for this role. About the Role – SEN Teaching Assistant You will work closely with pupils who require additional support, either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. You will help implement tailored support plans, assist with differentiated learning activities, and promote positive behaviour strategies in line with the school’s policies. Role Requirements – Ideal Candidate Will: * Have proven experience supporting children with SEN (essential) * Be confident supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs * Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills * Show patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach * Work effectively as part of a wider staff team * Have excellent communication skills Responsibilities Include: * Supporting pupils’ learning in and out of the classroom * Implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies * Encouraging independence and confidence * Liaising with teachers and SENCO to monitor progress * Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment Benefits of Working with ANZUK Education: * Competitive daily pay with weekly payment (PAYE or Umbrella) * Opportunities for long-term and permanent placements * Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant * £100 referral bonus after 10 days worked ANZUK Education is committed to Equal Opportunities.
