Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEN Primary School) – Temp to Perm Location: Redditch, Worcestershire Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEN primary school in Redditch on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment. You will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs. Key Responsibilities * Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs * Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities * Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural development * Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment * Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals * Assist with personal care where required The Ideal Candidate * Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting * A patient, caring, and resilient approach * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff * Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) What the School Offers * A supportive and friendly staff team * Opportunities for professional development and training * A temp-to-perm pathway for the right candidate * A rewarding role making a real difference in children's lives How to Apply If you are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and are looking for a rewarding opportunity in Redditch, we would love to hear from you.
