Senior Geotechnical Engineer Location: London Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Are you looking to join a well-established ground investigation and geotechnical consultancy? We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to support the delivery and management of a range of site investigation projects. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to step into a role with project leadership, client interaction, and technical oversight, while also mentoring junior team members and contributing to the growth of the business. The Role As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and delivering ground investigation and geotechnical projects from tender through to completion. You will be responsible for maintaining high technical standards, ensuring health and safety compliance, and supporting the development of junior staff. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery Lead and manage geotechnical and ground investigation projects Carry out and oversee site work when required Ensure projects meet health & safety, technical, operational and commercial objectives Plan and manage project resources effectively Identify and manage project changes and variations Ensure deadlines and project milestones are metTechnical Prepare and review technical reports Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site staff Maintain high technical standards across projectsClient & Commercial Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients Attend client meetings and presentations Prepare fee proposals and assist with business development opportunitiesTeam Development Mentor and support junior staff Contribute to staff training and professional developmentRequirements BSc in Geology, Civil Engineering or related discipline MSc in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or similar (preferred)The Opportunity This role offers the chance to join a growing consultancy where you will have the opportunity to lead projects, develop client relationships, and progress your career into more senior leadership roles.
