We are working exclusively with a respected main contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a landmark £40 million+ reinforced concrete high-rise residential/commercial scheme in central Bristol. This is a brand-new project that has recently commenced, with a strong, established commercial and site team already in place. The development will deliver a high-profile, quality-led building that will significantly contribute to Bristol’s skyline and city centre regeneration. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Senior QS looking to take ownership of a major high-rise project from early stages through to completion. Key Responsibilities Full commercial management of the project, including cost planning, budgeting and forecasting Procurement of subcontractors and materials, including issuing tender packages and negotiating contracts Administration of the main contract (likely JCT or NEC form) and all subcontracts Management of variations, change control, interim valuations and payment applications Preparation and agreement of final accounts Value engineering and cost mitigation initiatives to protect and enhance project margins Risk identification and commercial reporting to senior management Liaison with the client, design team, site management and supply chain Requirements Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction projects, ideally high-rise RC frame developments (residential, hotel, student accommodation or mixed-use) Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering projects to time and budget Experience administering JCT and/or NEC contracts Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline Membership of RICS (or working towards) is desirable but not essential Immediate or very short notice availability preferred Package Salary up to £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Competitive benefits package including: Performance-related bonus Car allowance / company car (depending on level) Private healthcare Pension contribution 25+ days annual leave + bank holidays Professional subscriptions Other benefits to be discussed How to Apply If you are a Senior Quantity Surveyor with high-rise or major RC frame project experience and are interested in this immediate, high-profile opportunity in central Bristol, please apply with an up-to-date CV.
