Job Title: Shift Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical Bias - M&E) Location: City of London (St Paul's) Site: Prestigious Critical Environment Employer: Leading Facilities Management Company Salary: Up to £50,000 + package Shift Pattern: 4on 4off - Days & Nights 7am - 7pm 7pm - 7amThe Role We are currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical bias) to join a leading FM provider, working on a prestigious critical site within the City od London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to work in a high-profile, business-critical environment with long-term stability and strong progression opportunities. Key Responsibilities Working as part of a skilled on-site engineering team Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance Ensuring all plant and building services operate efficiently within a critical environment Completing and managing logbooks, permits, and statutory compliance PPM tasks to include (but not limited to): Emergency lighting Fire alarm systems Lighting systems AHUs & FCUs Pumps, motors, and plant room inspections General building services maintenanceRequirements Mechanical or Electrical qualifications (Level 3 preferred): NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical Installations, Mechanical Engineering, or Plumbing OR City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Electrical Installations, Mechanical Engineering, or PlumbingElectrical bias only: 18th Edition (essential) Testing & Inspection (2391) - desirableIdeal Candidate Mechanical or Electrical bias with a strong building services background Previous experience working on critical or high-profile sites Confident, client-facing, and professional Strong understanding of compliance and safe systems of work Comfortable working continental shiftsWhat's on Offer Salary up to £50,000 + package Secure role on a prestigious City of London site Clear progression opportunities within a leading FM provider Long-term stability in a critical environment
