Skilled Yard Operative

All Square Recruitment is looking for a versatile and skilled Yard Operative to join a growing team in Colchester. This is a varied role where no two days are the same; combining general yard logistics with essential production tasks. Your Tasks will include: * General Yard Duties: Moving stock, organising moulds, and maintaining a safe site. * Production Support: Assisting the casting team with heavy-duty concrete pours. * Tack Welding: Securing triangular steel inserts and reinforcement frames inside A-wall moulds (functional welds, not decorative!). * Site Maintenance: Ensuring the yard and production areas are efficient and tidy. What we need: * Jack-of-all-trades: You’re happy switching between a broom, a forklift (if licensed), and a welding torch. * Basic Welding: Competency in tack welding is essential for the mould-prep side of the job. Extensive experience is NOT required. * Physical Fitness: This is a "boots on the ground" role in a heavy industrial environment. * Reliability: You’re a key part of the production cycle. Due to the site location you will be required to have your own transport. Yard Operative Working hours Monday to Friday - 6am till 3:30pm
