Support Worker – Children & Young People Ascot & Berkshire area (local residential settings) Pay Rate: £14.50–£15 We are working on behalf of our client seeking a dedicated Support Worker in the Ascot area, providing high-quality care and support to children and young people within residential homes. This Support Worker role is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of young people, helping them to feel safe, supported, and empowered to achieve their potential. As a Support Worker: You will provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young people, promoting a safe, nurturing, and structured environment. You will support daily routines, activities, and the development of independence skills, while building positive and professional relationships with young people. You will work collaboratively alongside residential teams and other professionals, maintain accurate records and reports, and follow all safeguarding procedures, reporting any concerns appropriately. To be successful in this Support Worker role, you must: Have a minimum of 6 months’ experience working with children and young people in a residential or similar setting Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices Be able to manage challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills Show flexibility to work a variety of shifts Hold a Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People (or equivalent) – this is essential Have an enhanced DBS  A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
