Support Worker Supported Living
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs, helping them develop independence, achieve personal goals, and maintain their wellbeing. This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
* Support individuals with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, shopping, and managing appointments.
* Encourage and promote independence, choice, and dignity.
* Assist with personal care where required.
* Support individuals to access community activities, social events, education, and employment opportunities.
* Administer or assist with medication in line with company policies and training.
* Maintain accurate records and complete daily documentation.
* Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
* Follow safeguarding procedures and promote a safe environment at all times.
Essential Requirements
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or willingness to drive company vehicles.
* Genuine passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Reliable, compassionate, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays on a rota basis.
* Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
* Previous experience in health and social care, supported living, or community support.
* NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
* Experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs.
