Job Title: Technical Lead Engineer – Mechanical Bias Location: Liverpool Street, London Salary: £56,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Benefits: 5% Matched Pension | 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays | Overtime Available | Training & Progression About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Lead Engineer (Mechanical Bias) to join our team at a prestigious commercial site in Liverpool Street, London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically qualified engineer looking to step into (or continue in) a leadership role within a well-established and supportive environment. You will be responsible for leading a small team of engineers, ensuring high standards of planned and reactive maintenance, and acting as the primary technical point of contact on site. Key Responsibilities * Lead and supervise a team of engineers on site * Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works * Act as the site’s technical authority for all mechanical systems * Oversee subcontractors and specialist service providers * Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures * Liaise with the client and provide regular updates and reports * Support training and development of on-site engineers * Participate in overtime and additional works when required Requirements * City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent * Strong mechanical background (HVAC, pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, plumbing systems, etc.) * Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role * Good understanding of building services within a commercial environment * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Strong knowledge of health & safety compliance What’s in It for You? * Competitive salary of £56,000 * Monday–Friday schedule (8am–5pm) – no regular shifts * Overtime opportunities available * 5% matched pension scheme * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays * Ongoing training and genuine progression opportunities * Stable, long-term contract in a prime London location If you are a mechanically biased engineer ready to take the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you.
