Electrical Authorised Person (AP) 📍 Location: Cambridge 💼 Contract / Permanent | Competitive Day Rate / Salary We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Authorised Person (AP) to join a major £200m construction project. This is a key role on a flagship scheme, offering the opportunity to work within a high-performing project team delivering complex, large-scale works to the highest safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: * Act as the Electrical Authorised Person on site, managing all electrical systems and procedures * Oversee and coordinate site electricians and subcontractors * Implement and maintain safe systems of work in line with current regulations * Ensure all electrical activities are carried out safely and in accordance with project requirements * Manage permits, isolations, and switching procedures * Coordinate daily site activities to meet programme deadlines * Ensure workforce competency, training, and compliance at all times * Liaise with project management, engineering teams, and other trades Requirements: * Proven experience operating as an Electrical Authorised Person on large-scale construction projects * Strong background in managing electrical works on complex developments * AP Certificate * CSCS Affiliated Electrical Supervisor Card (essential) * CITB SMSTS (essential) * In-depth knowledge of electrical safety systems, permits, and compliance procedures * Strong leadership and communication skills What’s on Offer: * Opportunity to work on a flagship £200m project * Competitive day rate / salary * Long-term opportunity on a high-profile scheme * Collaborative, safety-first project environment If you have the experience and credentials to operate at this level, we’d be keen to hear from you
