Mechanical Project Manager 📍 Location: Cambridge 💼 Contract / Permanent | Competitive Day Rate / Salary We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a major £200m construction project. This is a senior position on a flagship development, taking full responsibility for the delivery of mechanical packages from pre-construction through to commissioning and final handover. Key Responsibilities: * Take full ownership of mechanical project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget * Manage mechanical subcontractors and site teams across all phases of the project * Oversee programme planning, tracking progress, and driving delivery to meet key milestones * Ensure health & safety compliance is maintained at the highest standard * Lead coordination with main contractor, consultants, and other trades * Manage procurement of materials and subcontract packages * Oversee QA processes, commissioning, and handover documentation * Attend and lead project meetings, providing clear reporting on progress, risks, and performance Requirements: * Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on large-scale construction projects * Strong track record delivering complex mechanical packages on high-value developments * SMSTS (essential) * Relevant mechanical qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred) * Strong commercial awareness and programme management experience * Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills * Ability to manage multiple workstreams and drive project performance What’s on Offer: * Opportunity to work on a flagship £200m project * Competitive day rate / salary * Long-term opportunity with a leading delivery team * High-profile role with real responsibility and impact
